Subsurface Utility Engineers, LLC provides advanced geophysical and subsurface utility services across Oahu, Maui, Hawaiʻi Island, and Kauai.
We specialize in non-invasive technologies that help identify underground utilities and potential Hawaiian iwi kūpuna (ancestral remains)—also known as esAns—before excavation begins.
Using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), electromagnetic locating, LiDAR scanning, and vacuum potholing, we support culturally responsible development by minimizing ground disturbance and helping projects comply with Hawaii State Historic Preservation Division (SHPD) requirements.
